I bought Roxio 20 Pro thinking it would be the vehicle to somehow burn these ISO files to a disc that my player would read and interpret as Surround sound. My first effort failed and the discs are expensive. So there are around 7 or 8 classical music works with multiple movements that I have to figure out how to burn to a Blu-ray disc. Not all the selections had the M2T files as a download, but they all had the ISO files. The M2T files I put on a thumb drive and my Oppo Blu-ray Player reads and plays them. I have since discovered that ISO is a disk image like a dmg or something. There were two types, M2T I believe was the first one (these are Movie files, even though the content is Audio), and the second was ISO. I bought some Classical Music Surround Sound on Amazon. I haven't been able to get any help from Roxio. I just got a new Mac Studio but the OS is so new, it seems like I'm having trouble with installing things. I have a Pioneer Blu-Ray burner I'm on a MacbookPro running High Sierra. I've purchased 5 versions of Toast over the years. Reading the comments here about Toast 20 Pro, I'm very discouraged. We will get no help from Roxio, so we need to hope we can all help each other here. I can't imagine anyone would want to lose the ability to play the main video from the main menu. I MUST be doing something wrong, but have no idea what it could be. You can no longer play the video without going to a chapter menu. So now instead of being able to click play from the main menu, that play button takes you to the next menu which is the chapter menu. The minute you create chapters (by hitting the little icon on the bottom right of the video clip) it creates a chapter menu that is inserted in between the main menu and the video. The thing I cannot figure out is the chapter problem. You can then add another menu below and then to the right add your bonus features. When you add the first movie it appears on the main menu and you can play it directly from there. Main menu with a "play", "chapter" and "bonus feature" button. My biggest hurdle seems like it should be the easiest thing to do. Not very well thought out, and their user guides are always very limited. I'm very frustrated with the thing, and like you I feel it's not ready for prime time. In both classic and new modes you can select disc image on the right from the "destination" drop down.Ĭuriously the intro video option is gone when you select Bluray rather than DVD. You might have noticed that even if your file is 4 gigs, it will immediately tell you it's 13 gigs after import. But there still remains a "intro" button when you preview your project, so it seems like it can be done. You can do that in classic mode, but then you can't design your own menu. Any chance you know what I am doing wrong?Īlso, they mention being able to add an intro video to play before the menu. So you can only play that movie from the chapter page. It adds a second menu after the main menu, and that takes you to a chapter page. I can add the bonus features easy enough, but as soon as I add chapters to the main movie, you can no longer simply play that movie from the main menu. I'm curious if you (or anyone) has figured out a couple things that still baffle me? I am trying to make a BluRay with one main feature, chapters, and bonus features. My other gripes have not been resolved, but crashing has stopped. I assume you have done this, but you might want to try deleting the plist files in preferences, and then re-install. They only send you a link to the vague user guide. At least they can't be explained by support, which is non-existent. It appears to have "glitches" that can't be explained. I bought Toast 20 Pro the day it was released about a month ago. Sorry to hear you are also going through hell with this program.
